Once again, Facebook has launched its new privacy feature, which has become a hot topic in the tech world.

Although this new privacy setting has not changed that much for users still this is the best opportunity for privacy-conscious people to get advanced-level privacy for their accounts.

Facebook has launched a new option for users who are more concerned about their account privacy, through this feature users can easily switch off their Facebook tracking adverts on any other non-facebook site.

Facebook has shocked its users with advanced features every time. Facebook is a platform that allows its users to interact with millions of people in many ways like posting pictures and videos, going live, and with the help of text messages. It’s an app that is free of cost you can sign up for free and enjoy the features of Facebook without any cost.

It’s a social media app that gives you unlimited entertainment. You can also add the people you want to and enjoy their timeline by seeing what they have posted recently or years ago. You just have to send them a request if they accept it then you two become friends and chat with each other.

So, posting your content on your account means you need proper privacy so any anonymous person can’t see your content. Other than just simple content privacy users also need privacy so no one can locate you through their account as Facebook has a feature for tracking account location.

This new privacy option does not allow non-facebook sites to track down any Facebook user account.

To enable this option you have to do the following steps:

  • Go to your lock icon on your personal computer or laptop
  • In that whole list, find the settings
  • In settings, you will find ads, choose that option
  • In ads you will see the option saying; “ your Facebook ad preferences can be used to show you ads on apps and websites off of the Facebook company”. This is what that option looks like.
  • After switching off that option, you won’t see any ads personalized to you on different sites.

Some days back, the announcement was made by Facebook, that now Facebook tends to locate users as well as non-users through its online ad network. That includes the “like” button and many of the plug-ins on third-party sites.

Some European countries have been criticizing Facebook company nowadays because of its privacy practices. To warn their European Facebook users, they also have launched a new banner warning for this change on their Facebook newsfeed. They are alerting their residents so that they won’t fall for it.

According to Facebook, the reason is that they want relevant ads to be seen by non-facebook users, and for this, they might use data from 1.7 billion users so that they can make inferences about non-users.

Facebook allows you to interact with many different people in the world. You get the chance to know the people sitting on the other side of your computer. Through Facebook, you can discover many different things around the world. also, this social media site is very particular about the privacy issue. Facebook has strict privacy rules which are not breakable. Facebook does not allow any adult content. Any unethical things or pictures are strictly banned on Facebook.

It was said Andrew Bosworth, who is a vice president of Facebook’s ads and business platform, “Because we have a core audience of over a billion people who we do understand, we have a greater opportunity than other companies using the same type of mechanism”.

According to their approach, they called this mechanism “lookalike targeting”.

According to Publishers and different app developers, they can get the best results in powering those ads as they mostly have users who are not using Facebook accounts.

Although this new feature has been good for Facebook users, it also has some bad effects for others. This is why many Europeans are alerting their people to avoid this new setting being enabled.
